Education and Training (QCF) course was developed primarily to train prospective teachers on practical teaching skills and prepares them to teach in a various range of teaching position. It requires observation and assessment of practice. The qualification is designed to enable candidates to: adopt an integrated approach to the theory and practice of teaching, reflect on their own previous or current levels of experience, practice, skills and areas for development, and identify principles of learning, teaching, assessment and evaluation. The course is also aimed at developing confidence, communication and interpersonal skills of teachers, which can lead to an increase in awareness of their professional role and responsibilities
