We offer excellent tuition for students interested in working in the open space surveillance industry. Operators of Public Space Surveillance (PSS) CCTV are required to have a licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). The SIA also requires organisations undertaking PSS CCTV surveillance to ensure a minimum of 85% of their CCTV operators hold a valid licence at all times – up to 15% can have applications in progress. The duration of this course is four days, where the students will learn the following: role and responsibilities of CCTV operators, codes of practice, operational procedures and guidelines, CCTV equipment and its operation and legislation, dealing with incidents, surveillance techniques, fire and emergency procedures, health and safety, and finally have an exam based on multiple choice and practical assessment.
